The method
Seven steps. No room for manipulation.

Ask
A question is submitted with a required category and a specific expertise area. The asker may attach private context visible only to them and to the AI. Every question receives an immediate private AI answer from Brainshare before any human sees it.

Difficulty is scored before routing
The AI evaluates its own answer and assigns a confidence score. That score is converted into a fixed difficulty rating before the question is ever seen by the community. Questions the AI answers with high confidence are worth fewer points, while questions with lower confidence are worth more. Because the difficulty is locked at submission, no one can increase a question's value by choosing which questions to answer.

Escalate
If the private AI answer is not enough, the asker publishes the question to the community. It routes to Experts in that specific area rather than to whoever happens to be available. Answers are public from the moment they are posted.

Validate
Only the person who asked the question can confirm which answer resolved their issue. That acceptance is what validates the answer and earns reputation. Reputation cannot be gained through popularity, votes, or moderators, only by providing the answer the asker determines best solved the problem.

Unclaimed answers go to independent review
Askers do not always return. If an answer has gone thirty days without validation and without challenge, it is submitted to an independent AI review, a fresh evaluation that does not see the original difficulty score and does not see the answer's author. If the reviewer agrees the answer is sound, reputation is awarded at the difficulty locked in at step 02. If it does not agree, no reputation is awarded and no penalty is applied. Review can only award. It can never take away.

Challenge
Any expert may formally challenge an answer they believe is wrong or is missing key information, on the record and in public. This applies equally to answers confirmed by review, a machine confirmation is not final, and a human can always overturn it. A challenge resolves as upheld or not upheld. An upheld challenge awards reputation to the challenger and overturns the original answer. A challenge that fails costs the challenger the same amount it would have gained. Being wrong is expensive in both directions, which is the point.

Record
Every reputation event is permanently recorded in an append-only ledger. Reputation scores are calculated from the ledger itself rather than stored as a single number. Records are never edited or deleted. If a validated answer is later overturned, a new reversal entry is added while the original record remains permanently visible, creating a complete and transparent history.
